The stool test is the second test in the Essential Trilogy and a must for every patient I see. It reveals what is happening inside your gut at a level standard stool tests cannot reach.

I run this test on every patient regardless of how well they think their gut is travelling. Some of the worst results I have seen have come from people who told me their digestion was fine. The gut is not just about digestion. It drives immune function, inflammation, hormonal balance, mood, and energy. If you skip this test, you are guessing.

This is a PCR DNA-based test, which means it identifies organisms by their genetic material rather than relying on culture (growing them in a lab). Culture-based tests miss the majority of gut organisms because most cannot survive outside the gut environment. DNA testing does not have this limitation.

If you have been told your gut is fine but you still have bloating, irregular bowel habits, food sensitivities, skin issues, fatigue, or autoimmune symptoms, this test often reveals the driver that standard testing missed.
